Rocha Brava

A gorgeous property with a spectacular clifftop setting, Rocha Brava has so much going for it - it just seems to tick all the boxes for an enjoyable holiday base. In a beautiful setting of lush landscaped gardens, three swimming pools, one heated (and covered in) November to April (and a kiddies pool), skirted by extensive sun terraces and grassy areas. Apart from a very attractive layout, the location of the property is quiet and serene (3 km from Carvoeiro village) and approx. 1 km to the sandy beach. There is a free shuttle to the beach and resort centre 3 times daily. A vast selection of amenities in-house includes a free kiddies club (4 - 12 years, May to Sept incl.), playground, poolside bar, 4 tennis courts, gymnasium, beauty centre (reiki, reflexology, aromatherapy, Swedish massage, chiropody, Thai massage and acupuncture), games room, a recently installed 9 hole Crazy golf course*, internet access, free WiFi in all public areas, supermarket, restaurant, snack bar and bar with satellite TV. Rocha Brava is constructed in low rise design and is an ideal family holiday venue with friendly staff and a lovely informal and casual ambience.

One bedroom apartments (for up to 3 persons) have separate twin or double bedroom, equipped kitchen, air conditioning, TV, safe, bathroom and balcony or terrace. Larger apartments (for up to 4 and 7 persons) are similar, but have two and three separate bedrooms, respectively. Two bedroom Apartments feature 1 Double room and 1 Twin room.

* One Bedroom Apartments with Garden View are all located on the 1st floor (staircase with approx 17 steps leading up to it).

Carvoeiro

Holidays to Carvoeiro

Still a little sleepy by day, Carvoeiro is an original fishing hamlet nestled between dramatic cliffs. Its quaint setting with traditional whitewashed Portuguese buildings, the variety of accommodation and compact layout has made Carvoeiro highly popular with international and native Portuguese visitors.

Smaller than its Algarve cohorts, Carvoeiro has plenty of excellent restaurants serving delicious fish and seafood and international cuisine. The main square, lined with bars and cafés, looks out on the idyllic beach and cliffs, making for a perfect spot to relax with a cocktail and watch the sunset.

Activities in Carvoeiro

  • Golf: The Algarve is a known golfer’s haven and the small town of Carvoeiro is no different with two golf courses nearby: Quinta de Gramacho and Vale de Pinta. 
  • Hiking: There are two great hiking trails in Carvoeiro. The 5km O Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos trail from Praia da Centeanes to the Praia da Marinha and the more relaxed Carvoeiro Boardwalk, which extends from the town to the Algar Seco rock formations.
  • Kayak: Explore the coastline and its caves by kayak like the iconic Benagil Caves and learn about the diverse ecosystem from a qualified marine biologist.

Carvoeiro manages to successfully blend a touch of modern and old-fashioned and this is part of its distinct attraction and charm.
