Disneyland Paris is a non-stop, action-packed type of holiday where comfortable shoes and plenty of energy are a must. To ensure you get the most out of the park, use Disney’s Fastpass system cut down your queue time at some of the most popular attractions. If you’re not sure what Fastpass is or how it works, read on…
What is Fastpass?
Fastpass is built into your park entrance ticket and it allows you to skip the queue for a particular ride during a specifically allocated time slot. For example, you Fastpass Big Thunder Mountain at
What rides does Fastpass work on?
You can only Fastpass certain rides and they’re generally the ones with the longest wait times.
In Disneyland Paris, the rides you can Fastpass are:
- Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain
- Star Tours
- Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Aerosmith Rock’n’Roller Coaster
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Ratatouille: The Adventure
There is no limit to the number of times you can use your Fastpass in one day, but once you Fastpass a ride, you can’t Fastpass another one until you’ve gone on the ride.
Take advantage of Fastpass early in the day as the afternoon timeslots can get booked up quite fast. For example, when I tried to Fastpass Big Thunder Mountain after lunch, the next slot wasn’t until around 7pm and normal queue was a 2 hour wait!
How do you use Fastpass?
Unlike in Orlando, you can’t pre-book Fastpasses on the Disneyland app. Each of the above attractions has a Fastpass station beside their entrance. Simply tap to scan your ticket and you’ll get a separate Fastpass ticket with your allocated time slot on it.
It is a good idea to download the Disneyland Paris app before you go as it gives you estimate wait times for each attraction so you’ll know which to try early in the day.
