Last month we announced our new staff award, the Think Customer Award. Our first month was a great success and our Holiday Support Manager, Sharon was crowned January’s winner – you can read all about the inaugural award here.

Half of Click&Go staff are customer-facing, with the other half working in Marketing, Analytics, IT Dev and Finance so the Think Customer Award really shows how every person, whether directly or indirectly, has a positive impact on our customers’ experience. In February, there were a total of 18 nominations for 12 individuals.

February’s Think Customer Award Winner

February’s winner isn’t on a customer facing team but has a huge impact on the customer’s experience with Click&Go. So, without further ado, our February Think Customer Award Winner is Angel Redondo, Web IT Developer on our IT Dev team.

Angel, the February Think Customer Award Winner

On becoming the second Think Customer Award Winner, Angel said…

“I would like to thank all my colleagues (the Clickies) because for me it is a real privilege to be honoured with this award. I am really pleased to be part of Click&Go, where personal communication, responsibility and joy are the main points. Winning this award would not have been possible without the inspiration I have received from the IT manager, and the rest of the IT team.”

After the award ceremony, Paul commented that…

“I think it is brilliant to see a non-customer facing person win this award, it opens up the spirit of the award to exactly what our brand values are all about – Forward Thinking, Responsible, Happy and Human. I am delighted for Angel, for Jesus who leads the IT Dev team and for all the IT Dev team for this recognition.

I particularly what to thank Angel, it was a total pleasure to read his nomination forms and I think everyone in the office is genuinely pleased that he has won this award this month. Thank you for all your hard work and the way you do it Angel.

Well done to all the nominees and to all who nominated.”

Angel received 3 nominations, all of which were from members outside the IT Dev team, which shows the impact he has across the business. Here are a few of the highlights from his nominations:

“Angel is an absolute pleasure to have dealings with. No matter how busy IT is, he always takes time to fix any error I come across in a speedy manner and always with a smile on his face… The customers don’t realise how hard our IT team works in the background so they wouldn’t receive direct praise from them. I think all the work Angel has put in the last couple of months to assist the Holiday Support Team and the Sales Team he really does deserve this award!”

“I have seen many people appreciate Angel as a colleague and I can see why. Angel is a very quiet but capable guy. He’s very helpful, reliable and pleasant to deal with and when you approach him with a request that has nothing to do with his responsibilities you know he not only will do that, but he does it immediately.”

“Angel plays a big part supporting the Holiday Support Team. He is extremely efficient with resolving any problems that arise with Travelsmart and when we have ideas to make it more efficient for us. He always has a positive attitude with what he does and nothing is ever a problem.”

Congratulations, Angel!
