Tenerife's most upmarket resort, Costa Adeje is host to some of the most expensive hotels on the island. Lying just a few km west of buzzing Playa de las Americas, the two areas are worlds apart in terms of infrastructure! Holidays in Costa Adeje are more geared to relaxation by day with proximity to lots of nightlife nearby if boredom sets in - is this possible in any of Tenerife's resorts? - hardly likely!
Costa Adeje's claim to fame is beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, a lovely selection of restaurants and great golf. The clear, clean waters off the coast here are excellent for underwater pursuits, so snorkelling and scuba diving are popular. There are also boat trips to go whale watching or see dolphins swimming.
